RANGE Restaurant

RANGE Restaurant, co-owned and operated by award-winning executive chef Bryan Voltaggio, offers modern cuisine interpretations using seasonal ingredients from the Mid-Atlantic region. Nestled in the Friendship Heights neighborhood of Washington, DC, RANGE offers a truly unique dining experience in the district that is supplemented by an open kitchen design with comfortable bar and table seating for 300. Bridges SI was tasked to design and build an integrated AV solution that complements the elegant yet rustic décor of the space and enhances the overall experience of every visitor.

The restaurant includes a full bar, front and rear dining room, two divisible private dining/conference rooms, retail space, a rack room/office, and kitchen. The entire facility is equipped with a multi-zone AV system with local as well as centralized control points that enable each area to function independently for maximum flexibility. Centrally racked equipment and a closed-circuit security system provide for ease of future service requests and upgrades as well as total system monitoring.

The bar features two wall mounted vanishing High-Definition displays that appear as mirrors when not in use. Each divisible dining/conference room has a wall mounted display with PC, laptop, and auxiliary video source connectivity included to accommodate private briefings, presentations, and general viewing. A digital signage engine is also included for informational, entertainment and notification purposes. For the kitchen and wait staff, Bridges SI engineers custom-modified aluminum articulating mounts for multiple POS monitors, which helped to free up shelf space and provide a flexible range of motion and versatility for the fast-paced, dynamic cooking environment.

Multi-zoned overhead speakers throughout each of the spaces allow overflow audio or independent source playback, as desired. All destinations (displays, speakers) within the facility are interconnected via a digital matrix switcher that serves as the primary switching and distribution device for the entire AV system.

Upon completion of the installation, RANGE is now equipped with an attractive and highly flexible AV system that ties the dining experience together. Restaurant management is provided with technologies that improve the capabilities of the space and increase the overall return on investment. Most importantly, the AV system provides patrons with a relaxing and enjoyable environment that complements the breathtaking dining experience offered by world-renowned chef Bryan Voltaggio.
